📬 Filing a DMCA Notice
To file a DMCA takedown notice, please provide our designated copyright agent with the following information in writing:
- Identification: Identify the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed. If multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, provide a representative list.
- Infringing Material: Identify the material that you claim is infringing and that you want removed, with enough detail so that we may locate it.
- Contact Information: Provide your mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good Faith Statement: Include a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- Accuracy Statement: Include a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Signature: Include your physical or electronic signature.
⚠ Important Warning
Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages.
✅ Notice Requirements
Your DMCA notice must include all of the following to be effective:
- Physical or Electronic Signature: A signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright interest.
- Description of Work: A description of the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed.
- Location: A description of where the material you claim is infringing is located on our service.
- Your Information: Your address, telephone number, and email address.
- Good Faith Statement: A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized.
- Accuracy Statement: A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
🔄 Counter-Notice
If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with our designated agent containing:
- Your Signature: Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification: Identification of the material that has been removed and the location where it appeared before removal.
- Statement Under Perjury: A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
- Contact Information: Your name, address, and telephone number.
- Consent to Jurisdiction: A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the district in which your address is located, or if outside the United States, any judicial district in which we may be found.
- Acceptance of Service: A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification.
🕑 Timeline
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complaining party. If the original party does not file a court action within 10-14 business days, we may restore the removed material.
🚫 Repeat Infringers
In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, we have adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers.
- We may terminate access for users who are repeat infringers of copyrighted materials.
- We reserve the right to terminate access for any user who infringes any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
